Christoph Walter, originally from Allgäu, has been living and working in Berlin since 2009. His passion for timbres and their effect stems from his classical vocal training, jazz piano lessons, and various music projects as multi instrumentalist.
Following his graduation from high school, he pursued sound design at the Film University Potsdam Babelsberg (former known as HFF Konrad Wold), where he obtained his diploma in 2015. His diploma thesis focused on dialogue editing and current tools for original sound editing.
Through his involvement in award winning major film productions (including international ones) he has gained significant expertise and built a strong network. Notable collaborations include working with renowned film sound designers like Martin Steyer, Hubertus Rath, Lars Ginzel, and Kai Tebbel. He is also available for consultation and education in the field of sound for motion picture.
In addition to his work as a sound designer and re-recording mixer, Walter also composes and arranges film music and produces his own music project called ONE HAND ELEPHANT.
